Principia TJ Readiness Assessment:

Welcome to our TJ Readiness Assessment! This assessment is designed to identify areas of focus to help us plan your TJ preparation.

Here's what you need to know before you begin:

  • Please note: This readiness assessment is not a formal practice test. It is designed to determine a student's current readiness level and identify key areas of focus for future TJ preparation. This assessment includes multiple-choice math questions and one SPS question.

  • Once you click the Take Our TJ Readiness Assessment button, you'll be prompted to enter your full name and email address. This will create a free account on our testing platform, so please ensure it’s the best student email address you’d like to use if you move forward with our services. We do not share your information with any other parties

  • The assessment takes approximately 1 1/2 hours

  • You will only have one attempt to take the exam, and once the test is started, it cannot be paused or resumed later

  • We recommend that you use the entire time allotted for each section—if you finish early, use the extra time to review your answers

  • If you have time accommodations, please toggle on the Accommodations and Support feature, select your section, and break time accommodations

  • Be sure to read the instructions before you begin! They'll highlight testing tools that may come in handy

Once you finish the exam, your results will be available immediately. You'll also receive an email prompting you to create a username and password for the testing site so you can refer back to your results later and take additional practice tests as assigned by your instructor.

Our team will also follow up within 72 hours from the time the readiness assessment is submitted with recommended next steps. Please allow for a longer response time than usual during holidays and closures.

Lastly, the scaled scoring we’re utilizing is a simulated calculation based on our algorithm for practice purposes only. The actual scaled score in the official exam may differ due to various factors, including the specific scoring methodology used by the test provider. The simulated score is meant to estimate your performance in a practice scenario and should not be considered an official or definitive score. Our readiness assessment is also designed to be one of our most challenging tests, including difficult questions to help identify possible strengths and areas of improvement.

Ready? Make sure you're in a quiet environment, you have scratch paper handy, and you've put away all electronic devices other than your calculator. Then let's get started!
