With nearly 300 questions in under 2.5 hours, the HSPT is as much a test of stamina as it is of skill. We take a comprehensive approach: teaching core concepts (think comma rules, Greek roots, and word problems), reviewing pacing strategies, and assigning targeted practice to help students perform under pressure.
Because this test moves fast — and every correct answer counts.
We offer all HSPT prep through private 1:1 tutoring — tailored to each student’s strengths, goals, and areas for growth. Most students meet for:
● 1 hour/week for reading, writing, and verbal
● 1 hour/week for math and quantitative

About the HSPT
The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is used by many Catholic high schools as part of their admissions process. It’s usually administered in December, and students can take it only once — so preparation counts. Check with your student’s prospective schools for more testing information.
The test is multiple-choice and bubble-sheet based, with no penalty for wrong answers. That means every question should get an answer — even if it’s a best guess.
