Jessie holds bachelor's and master's degrees in English from Virginia Tech, as well as a PhD in English from Texas Tech University. She teaches at Marymount University and Nova Community College, where her writing and literature courses are focused on identity and representation in popular culture. She has experience working with students from a wide array of backgrounds, and her teaching and tutoring goals are to help students find connections to literature and communication that excite them.
